What You'll Be Doing
In this role, you will:
- Set up and prepare Tornos and Gildemeister six-spindle machines for production
- Perform complete machine changeovers and tooling setups
- Troubleshoot machine issues and perform routine maintenance
- Monitor machine performance to ensure quality and production efficiency
- Verify part quality using precision measuring equipment
- Read blueprints and job layouts to ensure accurate setups
- Identify opportunities for process improvements that increase efficiency and reduce downtime
- Train and mentor less experienced machinists and setup technicians
- Work closely with production, quality, and manufacturing teams to maintain on-time delivery and consistent quality

What We're Looking For
Required
- Experience setting up and operating multi-spindle machines
- Experience with Tornos and/or Gildemeister machines strongly preferred
- Strong blueprint reading skills
- Understanding of machining principles and production machining
- Experience using micrometers, calipers, and other precision inspection equipment
- Ability to troubleshoot machining and setup issues
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team
Preferred
- High-volume production machining experience
- Experience improving setup efficiency and cycle times
- Experience mentoring or training junior machinists
- Experience in precision manufacturing environments
