Quality Inspector I

1st & 2nd Shift Available

We are currently seeking an experienced Quality Inspector I to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have experience performing receiving, in-process, and final inspections while ensuring products meet customer specifications and company quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Perform receiving, in-process, and final inspections on manufactured products.
  • Conduct visual, dimensional, and mechanical inspections using precision measuring instruments.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T requirements.
  • Complete inspection reports and maintain accurate quality documentation.
  • Perform AS9102 First Article Inspections (FAI).
  • Develop and review inspection plans.
  • Perform hardness and electrical conductivity testing.
  • Calibrate and document inspection equipment and hand tools.
  • Maintain inspection records, parts history folders, and quality documentation.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Communicate with Engineering, Production, Purchasing, and Receiving departments to resolve quality concerns.
  • Follow all company safety policies and quality procedures.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Associate degree or related technical training preferred.
  • 3–5 years of Quality Inspection experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with receiving and final inspection preferred.
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings.
  • Strong understanding of GD&T.
  • Experience using precision measuring equipment including:
  • Calipers
  • Micrometers
  • Optical Comparator
  • Thickness Gauge
  • Profilometer
  • Knowledge of aerospace quality standards preferred.
  • Six Sigma knowledge is a plus.
  • Basic computer skills and Microsoft Office proficiency.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Preferred Certifications

  • Mechanical Inspection Certification
  • CMM Inspection Certification
  • Hardness & Electrical Conductivity Testing Certification (preferred)

Physical Requirements

  • Lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Stand for extended periods throughout the shift.
  • Pass vision and color perception testing.
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing and machine shop environment.
  • Ability to work overtime and other shifts as needed.

Schedule

  • 1st - 7:00 am - 3:30 pm
  • 2nd - 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm (Will be training in 1st Shift)

Pay: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour
