Quality Inspector I
1st & 2nd Shift Available
We are currently seeking an experienced Quality Inspector I to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have experience performing receiving, in-process, and final inspections while ensuring products meet customer specifications and company quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform receiving, in-process, and final inspections on manufactured products.
- Conduct visual, dimensional, and mechanical inspections using precision measuring instruments.
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T requirements.
- Complete inspection reports and maintain accurate quality documentation.
- Perform AS9102 First Article Inspections (FAI).
- Develop and review inspection plans.
- Perform hardness and electrical conductivity testing.
- Calibrate and document inspection equipment and hand tools.
- Maintain inspection records, parts history folders, and quality documentation.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Communicate with Engineering, Production, Purchasing, and Receiving departments to resolve quality concerns.
- Follow all company safety policies and quality procedures.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Associate degree or related technical training preferred.
- 3–5 years of Quality Inspection experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with receiving and final inspection preferred.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings.
- Strong understanding of GD&T.
- Experience using precision measuring equipment including:
- Calipers
- Micrometers
- Optical Comparator
- Thickness Gauge
- Profilometer
- Knowledge of aerospace quality standards preferred.
- Six Sigma knowledge is a plus.
- Basic computer skills and Microsoft Office proficiency.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Preferred Certifications
- Mechanical Inspection Certification
- CMM Inspection Certification
- Hardness & Electrical Conductivity Testing Certification (preferred)
Physical Requirements
- Lift up to 50 lbs.
- Stand for extended periods throughout the shift.
- Pass vision and color perception testing.
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing and machine shop environment.
- Ability to work overtime and other shifts as needed.
Schedule
- 1st - 7:00 am - 3:30 pm
- 2nd - 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm (Will be training in 1st Shift)
Pay: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour
