Position Overview
We are seeking a Commission Processing Administrator to support insurance administration operations during a maternity leave assignment. This role is ideal for an administrative professional with strong data entry skills, attention to detail, and basic Excel proficiency. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing commission statements, maintaining accurate records, generating reports, and supporting brokers and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
Commission Processing
- Process insurance commission payments and records within proprietary software systems.
- Analyze and reconcile carrier commission statements and payment reports.
- Convert carrier data into compatible electronic formats for system imports.
- Review and calculate commissions for accuracy according to established commission schedules.
- Ensure timely data entry to support semi-monthly commission payment cycles.
- Maintain commission schedules and records within Agency Bloc or future systems.
- Build and update commission rate tables.
- Add and maintain new policy information in company databases.
Reporting & Analysis
- Run and validate commission received reports used for internal compensation calculations.
- Generate monthly revenue reports for upload into the general ledger system.
- Prepare monthly external commission payment reports.
- Produce ad hoc production and performance reports for management.
- Analyze monthly commission trends against prior month and prior year results.
- Review and reconcile carrier corrections and adjustments.
Administrative Support
- Process Agent of Record (AOR) changes within Agency Bloc.
- Audit broker books of business as requested.
- Respond to broker inquiries regarding commissions and policy records.
- Upload supporting documentation and maintain accurate electronic records.
- Perform general administrative and data entry duties as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Strong administrative and data entry experience.
- Basic to intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and follow established processes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in the insurance industry.
- Familiarity with commission processing and insurance policy administration.
- Experience using Agency Bloc or similar agency management systems.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
