Logistics Forklift Driver

Job Description:

We are seeking a qualified and safety-focused Logistics Forklift Driver to join our warehouse team at DHL. Your responsibilities will include operating forklifts and other material-handling equipment to move, unload, and load heavy items and pallets. Your role will be essential in maintaining efficient warehouse operations and promoting an organized and productive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely drive forklifts to move materials throughout the warehouse space.
• Assist with the loading and unloading of shipments from trucks and containers.
• Place products in specified storage areas and staging locations.
• Properly position and pile materials to prevent any damage that may result from poor stacking.
• Help with inventory management tasks such as conducting cycle counts as necessary.
• Daily forklift maintenance checks should be conducted to detect and report any mechanical defects.
• Strictly follow all safety protocols and adhere to company procedures accordingly.
• Maintain a well-kempt and structured warehouse space.

Qualifications:

• Successfully operated a forklift in a warehouse or logistics capacity with documented experience.
• Possession of a current forklift operator certification (or ability to acquire one if necessary).
• Thorough comprehension of warehouse functioning and adherence to safety regulations.
• Proficiency in lifting heavy items and operating in a demanding work environment.
• Impressive eye for detail and effective organizational skills.
• Capacity to excel working alone or cooperating within a team structure.
• Preference is shown towards candidates who hold a high school diploma or its equal.
