About Us

Madrina Vegana is an award-winning vegan Mexican restaurant bringing bold flavors and high-quality food to Kansas City. We are looking for a dependable, hardworking Line Cook who takes pride in preparing consistent, high-quality food in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items according to company recipes and standards.
• Maintain consistency in food quality, presentation, and portion control.
• Set up and stock kitchen stations before service.
• Assist with food prep and daily production.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area.
• Follow food safety and health department regulations.
• Communicate effectively with the kitchen team.
• Assist with receiving and properly storing deliveries.
• Help monitor inventory and notify management of low-stock items.
• Work efficiently during busy service periods.
• Support other team members as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations.

Qualifications

• Previous line cook or restaurant experience preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Ability to work well as part of a team.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Food Handler Certification (or willingness to obtain one).

Schedule

• Tuesday–Saturday
• Day, evening, weekend, and holiday availability as needed.
