About the Job
We're looking for a kind, dependable companion caregiver for a wonderful gentleman living with Alzheimer's. He has a gentle personality, is usually in a great mood, and enjoys relaxing in his chair while watching TV. Responsibilities include providing companionship, preparing and serving simple meals, ensuring his oxygen equipment is working properly, and assisting with basic needs as they arise. This role is designed to give his full-time family caregiver a few hours of respite each week. We'll start with a few hours at a time, with the opportunity for additional hours as everyone becomes comfortable and his care needs change. Experience with Alzheimer's is a plus but not requiredwe value patience, compassion, reliability, and a caring heart above all else.
