Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Active Texas OT or COTA licensure required
  • Recent experience in schools or pediatrics strongly preferred
  • Ability to manage full-time, MondayFriday schedule (37.5 hours/week)
  • Willingness to work on-site and travel among 67 assigned campuses within a designated zone
  • Must not be a former employee of the district
  • Passing district-mandated fingerprinting/background check

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct evaluations and provide occupational therapy services (primarily consult-based; ~3040 students direct service)
  • Attend ARD (Admission, Review, and Dismissal) meetings
  • Maintain meticulous documentation utilizing SHARES and Onward platforms; log IEPs in Excel
  • Lead OT must independently manage caseload; no COTA assistance provided
  • Adhere to district schedules and rotation requirements
