No aerospace experience is required. If you have basic manufacturing experience or a strong work ethic and willingness to learn, we will provide the training needed to succeed in satellite production manufacturing.

Position Summary

AST is seeking a Technician I – Production Assembly Manufacturing (PLM Integration/Micron) to support increased production operations. This is an entry-level manufacturing position designed for candidates who are trainable and eager to learn. The Technician I role supports assembly and production activities within satellite manufacturing operations while following safety, quality, and production standards.

Compensation Schedule

Pay: $20.00/hour across all shifts. Additional shift differentials apply for 2nd, 3rd, and 4th shifts.

Shift Schedules

1st Shift – Days: Monday–Thursday, 7:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m. (4x10 schedule) with paid lunch and breaks (Need 1 technician)

2nd Shift – Nights: Monday–Thursday, 6:00 p.m.–4:00 a.m. (4x10 schedule) with a 10% shift differential and paid lunch and breaks (Need 4 technicians 1 Lead)

3rd Shift – Weekends: Friday–Sunday, 6:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. (3x12 schedule) with a 20% shift differential and paid lunch and breaks (Need 4 technicians 1 Lead)

4th Shift – Weekend Nights: Friday–Sunday, 6:00 p.m.–6:00 a.m. (3x12 schedule) with a 25% shift differential and paid lunch and breaks (Need 8 technicians)

Flexibility: Night and weekend shifts may be available with shift differential pay depending on business needs.

What You’ll Do:

Perform basic production and assembly tasks following work instructions

Assemble production components and materials for satellite manufacturing

Sort, organize, and stage materials and parts

Use basic hand tools and equipment safely

Maintain clean and organized work areas

Support manufacturing teams with daily production goals

Follow all safety and quality procedures

Assist with packaging, labeling, and movement of materials and finished products

What You Bring:

High school diploma or GED preferred

No prior aerospace experience required

Basic manufacturing or production experience preferred

Trainable with a willingness to learn new processes and skills

Ability to follow written and verbal instructions

Strong attendance and reliability

Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Must be authorized to work in the United States

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience in manufacturing, warehouse, assembly, automotive, or production environments

Familiarity with basic hand tools

Experience working in team-oriented production settings

Ability to learn technical manufacturing processes

Nail Techs encouraged to apply

Physical Requirements Work Environment:

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.

Ability to use hands and fingers to perform repetitive and precision tasks.

Ability to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel, and reach as required to perform job duties.

Ability to communicate effectively, including talking and hearing.

Ability to work in, on, around, and in proximity to large structures, equipment, and tooling.

Ability to lift, push, and/or carry items up to 40 pounds as required.

Ability to work near moving mechanical parts and equipment.

Ability to work in and around tight or confined spaces.

Ability to work in environments that may include exposure to fumes, airborne particles, and/or hazardous materials (e.g., carbon fiber).
