Job Summary of Physical Therapy Assistant:

The duties of this position involve carrying out therapy treatments under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, aiding in the formulation of personalized care plans, and working alongside a diverse team to secure successful results. Job Duties and Responsibilities of Physical Therapy Assistant:

  • Deliver physical therapy sessions under the guidance of a licensed Physical Therapist in compliance with state practice requirements.
  • Assist in recognizing fitting candidates for therapeutic interventions and partner with the supervising PT to evaluate and suggest referrals.
  • Work collectively with peers to support the promotion of quality results for patients.
  • Adhere to regulatory requirements through the maintenance of precise and timely documentation.
  • Ensure that all orders prescribed by physicians are current and followed accordingly.

Qualifications and Experience of Physical Therapy Assistant:

  • One must complete a Physical Therapist Assistant program accredited by the APTA to obtain an associate’s degree in the field.
  • Maintaining a state license as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
  • Skilled in both organization and communication.
