CNC Machinist (Mills & Lathes) | Operators, Set-Up & Programmers

Location: Lansing, MI & Surrounding Areas

Pay: $20.00–$35.00+ per hour, depending on experience

Our clients are seeking skilled CNC Machinists to join their growing manufacturing teams. We are hiring for multiple openings on 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts with companies throughout the Lansing area.

We are looking for individuals with experience operating, setting up, and programming CNC mills and/or lathes. Opportunities are available for entry-level machinists with hands-on experience as well as highly skilled setup machinists and programmers.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC mills and/or lathes.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions.
• Perform tool changes, offsets, machine adjustments, and troubleshooting as needed.
• Verify part quality using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, indicators, and other precision measuring instruments.
• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet customer specifications and quality standards.
• Maintain production efficiency while following all safety procedures.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and maintain a clean work area.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve production goals.

Qualifications

• Previous CNC machining experience required.
• Experience with CNC mills, lathes, or both preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong understanding of machine setup, tooling, and machining processes.
• Experience using precision measuring equipment.
• Programming experience (Fanuc, Haas, Mazatrol, Okuma, Siemens, or similar controls) is a plus.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
