Elementary Schooll Teacher - Travel, Fulll-time

The School for Young Performers is looking for two elementary school teachers for fun-time K-3 positions overseas. The educators will teach 1:1 in innovative, creative and fluid classroom constructs. This is an international search for the right candidates, and the families will be providing airfare, lodging, transportation, etc. There is also additional international travel. Teachers will be flown home for long holiday breaks, but do not apply if you cannot travel for extensive periods of time. Candidates must also have a valid passport. Preference will be given to teachers that have taught overseas and speak more than one language.

Ideal candidates must have the following:

• A MINIMUM of 5 years experience teaching Kindergarten to Grade 2, preferably in a private school setting

-Teaching certification, preferably K-5

-Fluent in English (this is a MUST)

-Literacy specialization, preferably with training in Orton Gillingham and/or Wilson, and experience working with English Language Learners

-Understanding of accelerated/gifted/differentiated learning and PBL

-Conscientious, patient, compassionate, flexible and professional

-Strong handle on keeping pace with curriculum, comfortable with creating lesson plans, assessments, projects and tests

-Can easily go back and forth between different subjects with a symbiotic emphasis

-Experience working 1-on-1, small group classes or in homeschool constructs

-SEL/Mindfulness training

-Familiarity with Singapore math is strongly preferred

-Ability to create interdisciplinary activities (i.e. competitive task work, STEAM projects, geography deep dives)

• Have a personal computer with email/MS Office AND a cell phone with access to email
• valid passport

-PLUS: working knowledge/ability in French, Spanish, and/or German
