We are seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Production Assembler / Trainer to join our manufacturing team. This role combines hands-on production assembly expertise with leadership responsibilities focused on training, mentoring, and developing assembly personnel. The ideal candidate will possess extensive assembly experience, strong technical aptitude, and a passion for helping others succeed while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and productivity.

Key Responsibilities

Production Assembly

  • Perform complex mechanical and/or electrical assembly operations according to engineering drawings, work instructions, and quality standards.
  • Assemble products, subassemblies, and components with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency.
  • Conduct inspections and testing to ensure products meet specifications and quality requirements.
  • Troubleshoot assembly issues and identify root causes of defects or production delays.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment following company and OSHA guidelines.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase productivity, quality, and efficiency.

Training & Development

  • Train new hires and existing employees on assembly procedures, safety practices, quality requirements, and production processes.
  • Develop and update training materials, work instructions, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Evaluate employee performance during training periods and provide constructive feedback.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for assembly processes and best practices.
  • Mentor team members to improve technical skills, productivity, and quality performance.
  • Assist supervisors in identifying skill gaps and recommending development plans.

Leadership Support

  • Act as a lead resource on the production floor, providing guidance and technical support to assembly personnel.
  • Promote a culture of teamwork, accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
  • Assist with onboarding and cross-training initiatives to ensure workforce flexibility.
  • Support production scheduling and workflow management as needed.

Qualifications

Required

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 2-5 years of manufacturing or production assembly experience.
  • 2-5 years of experience training, mentoring, or leading production personnel.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, work instructions, and technical drawings.
  • Strong understanding of quality control principles and manufacturing processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments, and assembly equipment.
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive motions throughout the workday.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds as needed.
  • Manual dexterity and visual acuity required for precision assembly work.

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
