Dental Hygienist: $5,000 signing bonus!

Belmont Family Dentistry has an opening for a Dental Hygienist in Portland. We provide a working environment like no other dental office you have ever seen! All our staff members are provided training to make the transition to your new professional home. We offer all this and a compensation package that includes health insurance, holiday pay, PTO and 401(k). The full-time job being offered is a 4 day a week position. The highly competitive hourly compensation range is $63-65 per hour plus benefits. We are offering a $5,000 signing bonus for the right candidate.

The Dental Hygienist plays a critical role in the patient experience, working closely with patients, the clinical team, and the doctors to deliver exceptional preventive and periodontal care while supporting the practice's commitment to an amazing dental experience.

The Dental Hygienist is responsible for performing clinical hygiene procedures, educating patients on oral health, and identifying treatment needs in partnership with the doctors. To ensure consistency and continuity of care, the Dental Hygienist works collaboratively with the clinical and administrative teams. The number one responsibility of all employees is patient care and meeting patient needs.

Our office utilized the EMS airflow GBT Therapy technology. This increases patient experience, improves therapy outcomes, and results in better ergonomics for our hygienists. Training for the state of the art therapy device is included for all of our staff.

Responsibilities

• Review the next day's patient schedule to prepare for clinical needs and treatment plans
• Perform thorough dental cleanings, scaling, and root planing as needed
• Take and process diagnostic X-rays and intraoral images
• Conduct periodontal charting and assessments, identifying areas of concern
• Apply fluoride treatments, sealants, and other preventive care as indicated
• Educate patients on oral hygiene, home care techniques, and treatment recommendations
• Document clinical findings accurately and thoroughly in patient charts
• Communicate with doctors regarding patient findings, treatment needs, and follow-up care
• Maintain sterilization and infection control standards in line with OSHA and state regulations
• Build rapport with patients to support comfort, trust, and case acceptance
• Collaborate with the front office team to ensure smooth scheduling and treatment follow-through

Prior dental hygiene experience is preferred. Current Oregon RDH license required.
