Job-Specific Responsibilities:
The Business Intelligence Manager leads our data and analytics function, helping the organization make smarter, faster, and more impactful decisions. The Business Intelligence Manager oversees a team of analysts and partners across the credit union to unlock the value of our data, drive growth, improve member experience, and enable innovation. This role also leads to the evolution of our data warehouse, reporting tools, and analytics capabilities to ensure data is accessible, trusted, and actionable.
Data Strategy & Leadership
Champion a culture of data-informed decision-making across the organization
Partner with senior leaders and business units to identify and prioritize high-impact opportunities
Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing analytics team
Own key analytics platforms and vendor relationships
Bridge business and technical teams to ensure the right questions are asked and answered with confidence
Data Analysis & Business Intelligence
Lead development of intuitive dashboards and reporting (e.g., Tableau)
Translate business needs into meaningful metrics, KPIs, and insights
Deliver actionable analysis across member growth, lending, deposits, and digital engagement
Empower teams through self-service analytics and data accessibility
Data Governance & Quality
Establish practical, scalable data governance standards
Ensure data integrity through quality controls and monitoring
Define and maintain data definitions, lineage, and documentation
Support compliance with regulatory, privacy, and security requirements
Data Warehouse & Architecture
Lead design and optimization of the enterprise data warehouse
Oversee data pipelines and integrations across core, digital, lending, and third-party systems
Ensure performance, scalability, and reliability of the data environment
Stay current on modern data platforms and architectures (e.g., Snowflake)
Other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications are the minimum threshold a candidate must meet in order to be considered for this role.
Minimum of two years’ post-secondary education or relevant work experience
Supervisory experience
Additional Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required; Masters degree preferred
Strong SQL expertise
Experience working with structured and unstructured data environments
Proficiency with BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
Background in quantitative analysis and statistical modeling
Understanding of data infrastructure and ELT/ETL frameworks
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Strong organization and attention to detail
Proven leadership and team development experience preferred
Working Conditions: Onsite work is performed in an office setting
Standard Hours/Schedule: 35 hours per week.
3 days a month onsite with 1-week WFH. Additional onsite days will be required based on business needs.

Work Format Details
This position has been determined by school or unit leaders that some of the duties and responsibilities can be effectively performed at a non-Harvard location. The work schedule and location will be set by the department at its discretion and based upon operational needs. When not working at a Harvard or Harvard-designated location, employees in hybrid positions must work in a Harvard registered state in compliance with the University’s Policy on Employment Outside of Massachusetts . Additional details will be discussed during the interview process. Certain visa types and funding sources may limit work location. Individuals must meet work location sponsorship requirements prior to employment.
