We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cabinet Builder to fabricate, assemble, install, and repair custom cabinetry, furniture, and architectural woodwork for residential and commercial projects. The ideal candidate will have strong woodworking experience, the ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings, and proficiency with woodworking machinery and hand tools.
Key Responsibilities
Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, shop drawings, and specifications
Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood, plywood, laminates, and other materials
Operate woodworking equipment such as table saws, routers, jointers, planers, sanders, and CNC machinery
Construct custom cabinets, shelving, countertops, fixtures, and furniture components
Install hardware including hinges, drawer slides, pulls, and handles
Sand, stain, paint, and apply finishes to completed products
Install finished cabinetry and millwork at residential or commercial job sites
Ensure accurate measurements, proper alignment, leveling, and secure installation
Inspect completed work for quality, accuracy, and defects
Maintain a clean and safe work environment and follow safety procedures
Collaborate with designers, project managers, and team members to meet project deadlines
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
1–5+ years of woodworking, cabinet building, or finish carpentry experience
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
Proficiency with woodworking machinery and hand tools
Strong math and measuring skills
Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship
Ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods
Strong problem-solving and time management skills
Preferred Qualifications
Trade school certification or apprenticeship training in woodworking or carpentry
Experience with CNC machinery or CAD software
Knowledge of custom cabinetry construction techniques and finishing methods
Work Environment
Cabinet shop and manufacturing environments
Residential and commercial installation sites
Exposure to wood dust, noise, and power tools
May require lifting, bending, climbing, and extended standing
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds
Ability to safely operate power tools and machinery
Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
Ability to work in physically demanding environments
