Job Title: CNC Programmer/Machinist
Job Description
The CNC Programmer/Machinist plays a critical role in the Engineering Department, providing support through CNC and CMM programming, manufacturing process development, tooling design, and CNC operation to enhance production support. This position is responsible for developing and operating CNC machining programs, CMM inspection programs, and manufacturing fixtures while also maintaining engineering documentation to support aerospace component repair and manufacturing operations.
Responsibilities
Develop repair processes and operate CNC machinery in accordance with manufacturer's maintenance manual, customer requirements, or drawings.
Design fixtures applicable to the repair process using 3D modeling.
Participate in establishing and modifying repair methods and processes by recommending changes in materials, equipment, and procedures.
Develop and maintain reports, records, and repair documentation to reflect methods and other manufacturing aspects.
Provide tasks related to the First Article Inspection Part.
Carry out responsibilities in accordance with organizational guidelines, procedures, policies, and applicable laws.
Train associates and resolve technical problems.
Develop, validate, and operate CMM inspection programs for aerospace components and tooling.
Create and optimize CNC machining programs and operate using CAD/CAM software for repair and manufacturing applications.
Support First Article Inspection (FAI), dimensional investigations, and root cause analysis activities.
Collaborate with Quality and Production Departments to resolve machining and inspection-related issues.
Manufacture tooling for New Product Development projects.
Perform other duties, as assigned.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in CNC programming and machining.
Experience with CAD/CAM software such as Mastercam.
Ability to design and develop fixtures using 3D modeling.
Blueprint reading and machine setup skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED Equivalent from an accredited school.
Basic education on drafting, 3D modeling, SolidWorks, or AutoCAD preferred.
Training in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, PC-DMIS, or equivalent CAD/CAM and CMM programming software preferred.
At least 3 years of experience in CNC programming or CMM programming, manufacturing engineering, tooling design, or aerospace component repair and manufacturing.
At least 3 years of MRO repair station experience.

Work Environment
Located in Hollywood, the work schedule is Monday to Friday, 7 am to 3:30 pm. The position involves working closely with advanced technologies and equipment in a structured and well-maintained facility.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hollywood, FL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr.
