Location: SPP Birmingham, AL - 401A, 5481 Vann Place, Birmingham, Alabama - 35235
Pay: $18 - $23 per hour and up to $2,500 through performance bonuses
Work Hours: Monday‑Friday 7:30AM – 4:30PM with occasional Saturday mornings during summer

What to Expect
Warehouse Associate responsibilities include:
- Accurately pull, fill, pack, and set up orders for delivery or pickup
- Assist in loading the delivery truck
- Receive shipments, log into inventory, and maintain inventory through audits
- Communicate positively with supervisors, sales staff, fellow workers, and customers to coordinate deliveries/pick‑ups
- Operate forklift safely and efficiently, maintain required certification, perform vehicle safety checks, and report discrepancies to supervisor
- Help keep the facility clean, neat, safe, and operating efficiently
- Perform other duties as assigned
Backup Driver responsibilities (as needed) include:
- Make deliveries using the most effective route to ensure on‑time delivery
- Load and unload the vehicle, ensuring products are properly secured and hazardous materials are separated appropriately
- Collect payments and accurately document delivery
- Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations (FMCSR)
- Complete pre‑trip and post‑trip vehicle inspections, informing supervisor of any maintenance needed
- Ensure the vehicle is clean, well‑maintained, and presentable daily
- Increase job and product knowledge on an ongoing basis
- Perform other duties as assigned
What You Will Need
- Be at least 21 years old
- Valid driver's license (Commercial Driver’s License, CDL, if applicable), preferably with HAZMAT endorsement
- Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and Pre‑Employment Screening Program (PSP) indicating no more than 2 combined violations or at fault accidents in the past 3 years
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to maneuver heavy objects, some weighing up to 100 pounds
- Prior forklift experience
- Follow and carry out instructions with minimal supervision
- Prior experience in distribution, general labor or warehousing preferred
