Job Responsibilities

• Operate medium and heavy trucks as a regular work assignment.
• Perform operational maintenance on trucks.
• Perform manual, unskilled and semi-skilled work in the general construction and maintenance of roads and adjacent areas.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class B with N endorsement (tank vehicles 1000 gallon or more capacity) and no restriction codes E (manual), J (automatic), and L (air brakes).
• One year of manual, unskilled and semi-skilled work experience in general construction and/or building repair and maintenance, including operation of medium trucks (1½‑5 tons) and heavy trucks (greater than 5 tons).
• Out‑of‑state CDL may be accepted provided the holder can transfer to a Hawaii‑issued CDL before employment starts.
• Copy of CDL must be submitted with application; otherwise application will be rejected.
