Medical Assistant (Part-Time)

We are currently looking for a Medical Assistant to join our team Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Our office is closed weekends and all major holidays. This position will have 24+ hours a week. Hours vary and are based on patient load. This position allows may also include vacation coverage for Tuesday and Thursday shifts. This position may eventually turn into full-time.

Our office is open Monday-Friday from 8-5. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment. Requires current Medical Assistant certification/license and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Performs other duties as required. Demonstrates excellent patient care and communication skills.

• Verifies patient information by interviewing patient; recording medical history; confirming purpose of visit.
• Prepares patients for examination by performing preliminary physical tests; taking blood pressure, weight, and temperature; reporting patient history summary.
• Counsels patients by transmitting physician's orders and questions.
• Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
• Keeps supplies ready by inventorying stock.

Experience:

• Medical Assisting: 1 year preferred
• Bilingual - Spanish/English preferred
• Medical Assistant License/Certification
• Current BLS CPR certification
