CNC Machinist (Setup) - 2nd Shift

We’re looking for a CNC machinist with strong hands-on setup experience. This role involves full setups, offsets, and proving out programs in a low volume, high-mix environment—not just operating.

Pay & Schedule

• 2nd Shift: Monday–Thursday, 3:00pm – 1:30am
• Full-time
• Overtime available
• Competitive pay based on experience

What You’ll Do

• Perform full setups on CNC lathes or CNC mills
• Set tooling, adjust offsets, and prove out programs
• Run first articles and make necessary adjustments
• Read and interpret blueprints and GD&T
• Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, and gages
• Troubleshoot machining issues to maintain quality and efficiency
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of CNC setup experience (not just operating)
• Experience working in a low volume, high-mix environment
• Ability to read blueprints and understand GD&T
• Experience with cutting jaws
• Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of quality

Preferred:

• Okuma experience
• Multi-axis lathe experience (dual spindle, single turret)
• G & M code knowledge
