Join our dynamic mortgage services team as a Senior Mortgage Loan Originator, where your expertise will empower clients to achieve their homeownership dreams! In this role, you will act as a trusted advisor, guiding borrowers through the complex landscape of mortgage options, loan processes, and financing solutions. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a tangible impact in people's lives by facilitating smooth, transparent mortgage transactions.

This is a position with a base salary of $50k along with commission!

REQUIRED: Need 2 years of verifiable MLO experience in the past 5 years.

Duties

  • Assist clients in evaluating their financial situation and determining suitable mortgage options aligned with their goals
  • Originate loans by gathering necessary documentation, performing credit analysis, and conducting thorough underwriting assessments
  • Manage the loan processing cycle from application to closing, including coordinating with escrow officers, underwriters, and bank representatives
  • Utilize financial software and mortgage servicing platforms to track applications, process payments, and maintain accurate records
  • Conduct credit analysis and basic math calculations to assess borrower eligibility and repayment capacity
  • Provide exceptional customer service by communicating clearly, answering inquiries promptly, and guiding clients through each step of the mortgage process

Qualifications

  • MUST have at least 2 years of experience as an MLO and have an active NMLS license
  • Proven experience as a loan officer or mortgage broker within the financial services or banking industry
  • Strong knowledge of mortgage origination, loan processing, underwriting procedures, and loan servicing practices
  • Familiarity with FNMA guidelines, TILA regulations, Fair Housing laws, and escrow processes
  • Excellent negotiation skills combined with a customer-focused approach to service delivery
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately and efficiently
  • Experience with credit analysis and understanding of contracts related to loans and banking transactions
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in handling loan documentation and contracts
