Commercial Painter

Cherry Coatings is seeking experienced Commercial Painters for a large, high-profile commercial project in Jacksonville, Florida. We are looking for skilled professionals with extensive boom lift experience and a strong background in epoxy coating applications.

This position is ideal for painters who are safety-focused, productive, and committed to delivering high-quality workmanship in a fast-paced commercial construction environment.

Responsibilities

• Apply commercial paints, primers, epoxy coatings, and specialty coating systems.
• Perform surface preparation including grinding, sanding, patching, masking, caulking, and cleaning.
• Safely operate boom lifts and other aerial equipment to complete elevated work.
• Apply coatings using brushes, rollers, and airless spray equipment.
• Maintain quality workmanship while meeting project production schedules.
• Follow all company, OSHA, and jobsite safety requirements.
• Work effectively with supervisors and team members to complete projects on time.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas.
• Assist with material handling, equipment maintenance, and jobsite setup.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of commercial painting experience.
• Minimum 5 years of boom lift operating experience.
• Minimum 5 years of epoxy coating application experience.
• Demonstrated experience working on large commercial construction projects.
• Ability to safely work at heights and operate aerial access equipment.
• Strong knowledge of surface preparation, coating systems, and application techniques.
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Current OSHA 10 Certification.
• OSHA 30 Certification.
• Current Boom Lift / Aerial Lift Certification.
• Experience with specialty coatings and industrial coating systems.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and work from lifts throughout the workday.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to safely work at heights for extended periods.

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
