Senior Accountant

About the Job:

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Accountant with industry-specific expertise in construction and project accounting. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate processing of financial information in a larger ERP system. They will ensure all financial controls are met while simultaneously making sure all company policies are adhered to.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and produce internal financial reports to heads of departments and Senior Management.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Analyze construction costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations incurred to predict future revenues and expenses.
• Maintain and improve the financial system, processes, policies, and procedures.
• Manage project accounting and produce financial reports as requested by management.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.
• Maintain and improve the implementation and efficient running of ERP systems.
• Participate in budgeting and financial forecasting processes.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• At least five years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the construction industry.
• Solid understanding and experience with ERP systems.
• Proficiency in project accounting.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a strong attention to details.
• Sound knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Professional certification (e.g., CPA) is highly desirable, but not a prerequisite.
