Junior Administrative Assistant
We are seeking a Junior Administrative Assistant to join our team who will be responsible for providing administrative and clerical support. This is a full-time position. Responsibilities and qualifications will include but are not limited to:
Essential duties and responsibilities:
- Respond to telephone calls, take messages, and direct callers or visitors to requested staff.
- Prepare correspondence, reports, memorandums, and emails for distribution across the organization.
- Assist with travel vouchers.
- Arrange conference calls and schedule meetings.
- Compose calendars, schedules, and itineraries.
- Monitor and provide inventory control for office supplies.
Supervisory responsibilities:
- This position does not have any supervisor responsibilities.
Qualifications:

Knowledge and skills:
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Outlook and Teams.
- Proficiency in video conferencing technology, including Video Tele Conferences, Webex, and Zoom.
- Familiarity with the Defense Travel System (DTS).
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Familiarity with military customs and courtesies.
- Understanding of Department of Defense processes.
Education and/or experience:
- BA/BS degree
- 0 to 3 years of experience providing administrative and clerical support.
Minimum security clearance:
- Current active Secret Clearance
Physical demands:
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Work environment:
- Normal office environment. The noise level in the work environment varies between quiet and moderate.
