Strategic Account Director

Location: In person, Ponte Vedra / Nocatee / Jacksonville, FL Reports to: Founder Type: Full time Comp: $110K to $140K base plus retention and expansion bonus, commensurate with experience

The Role

Mabbly is a Chicago born digital agency, now growing a team in Northeast Florida. You would own some of our most important client relationships from our Nocatee office, working directly with our founder, who is based here too. No layers between you and the person setting the vision. Real influence over how this team grows.

A word about who we are right now. Mabbly has been an agency for over a decade, but in the past year we rebuilt ourselves to operate like a startup. We run the entire business on Claude, Claude Cowork, and Notion (connected to other tools, but that's the core). We build our own internal AI agents. We automate anything that should not require a human. The agency model is changing faster than most agencies want to admit, and we decided to be the ones changing it.

The Growth Director is the senior relationship owner on every account they touch. You are the face the client trusts, the person who holds the strategic narrative, and the one accountable for whether the client renews and expands. You set the strategy, you direct the build, and you walk into every room ready to answer "where should we go next" without saying "let me check with my team." You will start by taking full ownership of our anchor healthcare account.

What You Own

  • Active client relationships end to end, from kickoff to renewal
  • The strategic direction for each account, paid, organic, content, brand, and CRM
  • Client meetings, QBRs, and renewal and expansion conversations, solo
  • A clear brief out of every client call, handed to the Delivery Lead with assignments
  • Retention rate and expansion revenue as your measurables
  • A focused book of accounts, sized to complexity, roughly four to five at full complexity and more when some are smaller

What You Do

  • Run every client call as the primary contact, no backstop needed in the room
  • Set channel strategy tied to real outcomes, MQLs, SQLs, pipeline, and revenue
  • Direct and quality check what the delivery team produces, paid media, HubSpot, SEO, content, and creative
  • Translate campaign data into business insight a CEO actually cares about
  • Drive expansion conversations directly with the client
  • Surface account risk early, never be the last to know
  • Use AI tooling to move at startup speed, not enterprise pace

What You Do Not Do

  • Sit back and delegate while the client wonders who is driving
  • Produce every deliverable yourself, you direct the build, you do not become the bottleneck
  • Take four people into one PowerPoint, own the brief and assign one person
  • Manage Harvest and resource allocation, that is the Delivery Lead's seat
  • Loop in the founder unless it is a true exception

Who You Are

  • Eight or more years in digital marketing or agency account leadership, with genuine strategic range across paid media, SEO, content, and CRM
  • A track record presenting strategy and performance directly to executives and owners, and winning their trust
  • Hands on enough to direct and grade the work, you have built media plans and run paid campaigns yourself, even if you no longer do it daily
  • Comfortable in HubSpot, GA4, Google Ads, and the modern paid social stack
  • Fluent connecting campaign data to pipeline and revenue
  • Open to running your day on AI tools, Claude and Notion are how we operate
  • Healthcare or concierge or professional services experience is a strong plus
  • Based in or willing to relocate to the Jacksonville area, this is an in person seat

The person who thrives here owns their account like a founder owns a company, ships at startup speed, and would rather send a clear brief today than a perfect one next week.
