Job Description:Client Support Banker

At Regions, the Client Support Banker is responsible for providing an exceptional customer experience, both on the cash line and on the phone, and contributing to improving the financial wellness of our customers. The purpose of this role is to create meaningful personal connections with customers while processing transactions, identify ways for Regions to meet customer needs, and assist in resolving end to end customer service inquiries. This role offers an exciting opportunity for candidates with prior teller, limited banking, or some retail sales experience who are interested in beginning a career with opportunities for growth, development, and upward mobility.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Delivers a superior customer service encounter at the cashier station by adeptly handling customers' financial transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, and routine payments
  • Responding to customer questions about products and services and carrying out simple service tasks like providing new or replacement cards, updating details, resetting PINs, ordering new checks, and solving basic issues
  • Establishes connections with clients, staying updated on their interactions with the financial institution
  • Demonstrates to customers the functionality of mainstream consumer items and electronic advancements, including mobile applications, online services, and ATM features, with the goal of enhancing banking convenience
  • Helps team members in branches by supporting them with basic tasks to enhance customer issue resolution
  • Engaging in outbound telephone communications by reaching out to customers and potential leads from generated lists to discuss emerging technology solutions and assist with financial concerns
  • When customers reveal complex financial goals, they are directed to an internal team known for their specialized knowledge
  • Ensures adherence to bank procedures and regulations, carrying out assigned duties by the Branch Manager; as a branch team member, maintains the implementation of secure banking methods, which includes the identification and reporting of operational risks
  • Accomplishes branch goals and targets through identifying customer needs and providing relevant guidance and perspective on Regions' solutions

Monitoring and recording hours worked beyond the 40-hour weekly limit is necessary for this role, with eligibility for overtime payment under the Fair Labor Standards Act.

Bonuses may be rewarded for this role.

Requirements:

  • Securing a high school diploma or a GED equivalency is necessary for many career opportunities
  • Readiness to work on Saturdays as and when required
  • Competence in handling cash and facilitating cash-based transactions
  • Competence in communicating verbally and in writing across personal, telephonic, and electronic mediums
  • Capability to operate a computer frequently, involving typing and consistent focus on a monitor
  • Capacity to ambulate and remain upright for long stretches of time
  • Capable of lifting objects weighing up to 20 pounds

Preferences:

  • A year of experience in banking, cash handling, or interacting with customers is required

Skills and Competencies:

  • Showing proficiency in following organizational guidelines, protocols, and practices
  • Proficiency in providing assistance with digital banking offerings
  • Balancing multiple responsibilities at once is a valuable asset in the workplace
  • Ability to supervise substantial cash quantities
  • Emphasizing customer needs and adeptly nurturing customer interactions are essential attributes
