Primary Services is excited to announce the role of the Account Manager for a large industrial technology organization with a strong global footprint. In this hybrid position, you will leverage commercial expertise and technical knowledge of drive systems to develop accurate renewal parts quotations, manage customer relationships, and support aftermarket sales growth across an established installed base of industrial equipment. This role is well-suited for a professional experienced in industrial sales, technical configuration, and high-value engineered products.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver accurate commercial proposals for inverter, drive, motor, and third-party renewal parts in response to RFQs.
- Analyze technical specifications to determine voltage, kilowatts, horsepower, and drive configurations for precise quoting.
- Build and maintain a pipeline of aftermarket opportunities through engagement with purchase influencers and decision-makers.
- Interpret client documentation to define initial spares, flow parts, and other pricing classifications.
- Prepare and modify renewal parts lists based on engineering and contractual requirements.
- Review purchase orders and reconcile discrepancies against submitted proposals.
- Ensure all quotes and orders meet trade compliance requirements and margin targets.
- Collaborate with sales, service partners, and internal stakeholders to support regional aftermarket growth initiatives.
- Recommend safety stock levels for critical parts based on forecasting and usage trends.
- Monitor proposal progress and provide status updates to management.
- Analyze market trends to identify opportunities for new aftermarket service offerings.
- Support item master creation and updates, including descriptions, pricing, and tariff coding.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 2 years of industrial product sales or technical sales experience.
- Strong understanding of commercial contract terminology.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Experience working with technical specifications for industrial equipment such as drives or motors.
- Knowledge of domestic and international shipping terms, including INCOTERMS.
- Experience with ERP or order management systems preferred.
- Ability to support domestic and international travel up to 15 percent.
