A well-established distribution and support organization is seeking a Staff Accountant to join their accounting team. This role will support a variety of day-to-day accounting functions including accounts payable, reconciliations, sales and use tax filings, and general ledger support. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands‑on accounting environment.

Staff Accountant Key Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable invoices and support payment processing
• Assist with AP automation improvements and workflow efficiency
• Prepare month‑end journal entries and support close activities
• Complete monthly sales and use tax filings for multiple states
• Perform daily banking activities and account reconciliations
• Assist with customer payment posting and account inquiries
• Support additional accounting functions as needed

Qualifications of the Staff Accountant Role

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
• Previous accounting experience preferred
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to support team needs
