Position Summary
The material handler is responsible for providing welders/assemblers with all appropriate tools and fixtures to correctly build each product. The handler will ensure that all appropriate pieces are delivered safely and are present before each build is started. Will have to communicate effectively with welders, other departments, and leadership.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Picking fixtures, consoles, and tooling for each specific model
- Delivering parts to appropriate personnel with the correct paperwork in order
- Delivering consumables and tools to associates
- Reading and delegating work based on job schedule
- Keeping work area organized and easily accessed
- Other job-related duties that may be necessary to carry out the responsibilities of this position
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Physical stamina to lift 50 lbs. repetitively and 150 lbs. with team-lift techniques.
- Ability to compute simple mathematics and read diagrams.
- It is understood that if incidents happen and/or forklift rules are broken, retraining will occur as soon as possible. i.e. hitting structures and/or materials, not wearing the seat belt, not performing the daily checklist.

Develops working knowledge of the production environment and has ability to respond to change. Work to continuously improve the operations of the department through Lean manufacturing principles and improvement suggestions.
Working Conditions
This position works in a production environment with the risk of injury. Some safety equipment must be worn when working with equipment in the shop. Bending, lifting and pushing up to 50 pounds is required.
Pay: From $17.00 per hour
