Overview
We are seeking a hardworking Housekeeper to join our team at Comfort Inn & Suites. This is a Part‑Time position located in Montpelier, VT. The Housekeeper will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of guest rooms and hotel public spaces, ensuring a positive guest experience.
Responsibilities
Provide basic housekeeping duties including changing bed linens, restocking room supplies, vacuuming, and dusting
Report and return any guest properties that were left behind
Report cases of property damage to supervisor
Work with a team of housekeepers on each shift
Keep workstations and equipment clean, organized, and in good working order
Collaborate with other staff members to ensure that all guest rooms meet hotel standards and accommodate any special guest needs
Perform other duties as assigned, requested, or deemed necessary by management
Requirements
High school education or equivalent experience
Previous housekeeping experience preferred, but not required
Continuous standing for 90% of the time
Lifting up to 50 lbs
Pushing up to 50 lbs
Must be able to work independently
Maintains a friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeanor at all times
Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
Requires reading, writing, and oral proficiency in the English language
Hours: Part Time, 16–30 hours (flexible, including weekends and holidays)
Preferred Skills/Qualities
Previous customer‑facing experience preferred
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and procedures
Strong attention to detail
Second language is a plus
Compensation
$17–$19 per hour plus tips
