Production Operator - Powder Coat or Machine Operator

Location: Fife, WA

Company: Milgard Windows & Doors

Schedules:

Powder Coat: Monday-Thursday, 2:00 PM - 12:30 AM

Machine Operator: Monday-Friday, 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM

Pay Rate: $23-$28/hour (DOE) + $2/hr shift differential

Job Summary

Milgard Windows & Doors is seeking Production Operators to support both Powder Coat and Machine Operation functions at our Fife, WA facility. These roles are responsible for operating equipment, ensuring product quality, and supporting efficient production within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Operators play a key role in meeting safety, quality, and productivity standards while contributing to overall operational success.

Key Responsibilities

Powder Coat Operators

Set up, operate, and adjust powder coating equipment and spray systems

Load, unload, and position parts on racks or conveyor systems

Apply coatings per specifications to ensure proper coverage and finish

Monitor curing ovens, temperatures, and line speeds

Inspect finished products for defects, consistency, and quality

Perform routine cleaning and basic equipment maintenance

Machine Operators

Set up and operate manufacturing equipment used in window and door production

Monitor machine performance and make minor adjustments as needed

Load materials and ensure proper alignment and operation during production

Inspect finished components for quality and accuracy

Perform basic troubleshooting and preventative maintenance

Maintain production flow while meeting safety and quality standards

Shared Responsibilities (All Operators)

Accurately document production and quality data

Follow all safety procedures, including PPE requirements

Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area

Work collaboratively with team members, leads, and supervisors

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED preferred

Previous manufacturing experience preferred (powder coating experience a plus for Powder Coat roles)

Ability to read and follow work instructions and standard operating procedures

Strong attention to detail and mechanical aptitude

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in an industrial environment (may include heat, noise, and machinery)
