Cook – Southern Belle Chicken Co.

Location: On‑site

Schedule: Part‑time or Full‑time

Pay: $14–$16/hr + tips (ranges 20-25 HR)

Job Summary

Southern Belle Chicken Co. is looking for dependable, hard‑working Cooks to join our high‑volume kitchen team. You’ll be responsible for preparing menu items, frying chicken, assembling sandwiches, and cooking fries while maintaining a clean, safe, and respectful work environment.

Responsibilities

• Fry chicken at high volume while maintaining quality and consistency
• Prepare sandwiches, cook fries, and handle other food prep tasks
• Grab and use prepped items correctly and according to kitchen standards
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation
• Arrive on time and ready to work
• Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
• Communicate respectfully and work well with the team
• Stay open to feedback and improvement
• Practice strong time management during busy rushes

Requirements

• Ability to read and understand English
• Time‑management experience
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑volume kitchen
• Must be reliable, respectful, and punctual
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and stand for extended periods
• Willingness to learn and follow procedures

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in frying, line cooking, or fast‑casual kitchens
• Experience handling high‑volume service
• Positive attitude and openness to coaching

Compensation & Benefits

• $14–$16 per hour depending on experience
