Job Summary

Sisu Healthcare Solutions is a privately held infusion therapy company based in Tempe, AZ, with an additional location in Las Vegas, NV. We are dedicated to providing excellent clinical service to our patients, physicians, and managed care customers. Our comprehensive infusion therapy services include the provision of nutritional, antibiotics, and specialty drugs administered intravenously in the home setting or in our outpatient ambulatory infusion suites. Our clinical team of nurses and pharmacists work closely with physicians to develop personalized plan of care and ensure optimal patient outcomes.

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician Supervisor to lead and oversee pharmacy operations within our home infusion pharmacy. This role involves supervising pharmacy technicians, ensuring compliance with all pharmacy regulations, and maintaining high standards of patient care. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive pharmacy experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional patient service. As a pivotal member of the healthcare team, you will ensure medication safety, accuracy in dispensing, and adherence to hospital and federal pharmacy laws. Duties

1. Ensure daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual documentation of necessary quality assurance standards are documented and reported.

2. Assist with maintaining inventory levels.

3. Train and guide pharmacy support staff, Pharmacy Technicians, Students/Interns in team development, skills, and responsibilities.

4. Develop schedules, approve vacation request, and approve request to switch shifts

5. Report any misconduct, suspicious or unethical activities to the Compliance Officer.

6. Represent the pharmacy in a professional and courteous manner in all interactions with patients.

7. Mix, compound, dispense and package medications under the direction of the on-duty pharmacist.

8. Ensure compliance with all licensure and federal, state, and local laws and regulations; observe the pharmacy’s policies on ‘’best practices’’.

9. Assist in resolving patient concerns and complaints.

10. Assume on-call responsibilities in accordance with pharmacy guidelines.

11. Report product incidents as required in accordance with pharmacy policy.

12. Participate in surveys conducted by authorized inspection agencies.

13. Participate in the pharmacy’s Performance Improvement program as requested by the Performance Improvement Coordinator.

14. Participate in pharmacy committees when requested.

15. Participate in in-service education programs provided by the pharmacy.

16. Pursue continuing education programs appropriate to job responsibilities and certification requirements.

17. Perform other duties as assigned by Pharmacists or the Pharmacist-in-Charge.

Skills

1. Requires 3 or more years related work experience preferably in a sterile compounding or home infusion environment.

2. Organizational skills sufficient to maintain consistently accurate records.

2. Ability to evaluate options and to make efficient decisions.

3. Certification as a Pharmacy Technician.

4. Current knowledge of all applicable state and federal pharmacy laws, rules and regulations.

5. Computer skills that include proficiency with spreadsheets and use of the internet, as well as word processing, and efficient use of the internet and e-mail.

Physical Requirements

1. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and sit, as well as talk and hear.

2. The employee is required to use hands to operate vehicles and office equipment.

3. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.

4. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

Pay: $26.00 - $30.00 per hour
