Position Description
As an Equipment Painter/Prepper, you will be responsible for preparing and painting various types of equipment and machinery. Your primary duties will include surface preparation, mixing and applying paints, and ensuring that finished products meet our high standards of quality and durability.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, masking, and priming.
- Mix and apply paints, varnishes, and other finishes according to specifications.
- Use spray guns, brushes, rollers, and other tools to apply paint.
- Ensure proper drying and curing of painted surfaces.
- Inspect finished work to ensure it meets quality standards.
- Maintain painting equipment and ensure a clean and safe work environment.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines.
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge of painting techniques, equipment, and materials.
- Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good physical condition and the ability to lift and move heavy objects.
