Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Licensed Property and Casualty Insurance Agent located in Land O' Lakes, FL. The agent will assist clients in evaluating their coverage needs, quoting and binding property and casualty policies, and processing policy changes and renewals. Daily responsibilities include responding to client inquiries, reviewing policy documents, explaining coverage options, and following up on leads and referrals. The role also involves maintaining accurate records in agency management systems, coordinating with carriers on underwriting and claims questions, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and agency standards. The agent will contribute to agency growth by identifying cross-selling opportunities and providing consistent, high-quality service.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated proficiency in insurance sales and client relationship building.
  • Strong knowledge of property and casualty insurance products and insurance brokerage practices.
  • Understanding of basic finance concepts related to premiums, deductibles, and coverage limits.
  • Excellent customer service skills, including active listening, clear communication, and problem-solving.
  • Active Property and Casualty insurance license in the state of Florida, or ability to obtain one before start date.
  • Attention to detail with the ability to manage documentation and policy records accurately.
  • Comfort working with computer-based quoting tools, CRM or agency management systems, and common office software.
  • Ability to work on-site, collaborate with colleagues, and manage multiple client needs in a fast-paced environment.
  • Previous experience in an independent agency or insurance carrier environment is beneficial.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or relevant certifications are a plus.
