Weekend Security Officer

Job Summary: Join our dedicated team as a Weekend Security Officer at DHL Supply Chain. In this crucial role, you will provide essential security services, ensuring the safety and well-being of personnel and property. You will establish strong working relationships with customers, local law enforcement, and fire departments. As a Security Officer, your vigilance and professionalism will be key in maintaining a secure environment while delivering outstanding customer service.

Basic Functions:

• Control entrances and manage pedestrian and vehicle traffic.
• Conduct regular patrols of buildings and surrounding perimeters.
• Escort materials and personnel as needed.
• Inspect security measures and fire safety exposures.
• Undertake special assignments as required.

Responsibilities:

• Report to your assigned post on time, dressed in your full uniform.
• Maintain a professional appearance, greeting customers and visitors in a friendly manner.
• Stay informed about revisions to post orders and general information from management.
• Patrol the property diligently, reporting suspicious activities and addressing accidents or criminal incidents.
• Monitor security cameras and equipment continuously as required.
• Remain knowledgeable about emergency policies and procedures for effective responses to alarms and incidents.
• Complete Daily Activity Reports, Log Book entries, and Incident Reports promptly.
• Identify and recommend improvements to safety and loss prevention processes based on daily observations.
• Familiarize yourself with life safety systems, fire panels, and CCTV operations essential for your role.
• Ensure compliance with training guidelines set by the organization and regulatory agencies.
• Communicate daily with the Security Supervisor regarding any security issues or necessary changes.
