OA Veteran Job Placement Specialist

The Job Placement Specialist cultivates and maintains partnerships with employers and community organizations while identifying and pursuing new opportunities for collaboration. This role is essential in establishing sector-based employment pathways and a successful referral system for program participants. Responsible for developing new business and community partnerships on a monthly basis and work closely with the Intake and Employment Specialist to ensure seamless service delivery. Key responsibilities include researching and educating participants on employment opportunities, completing and submitting job applications and providing ongoing support throughout the placement and hiring process. The position is also responsible for strengthening long-term commitments with local employers.
