Legal Recruitment Consultant | Charlotte, NC | $55,000–$80,000 base + commission

Are you a recruitment consultant ready to stop building from scratch and start billing from day one?

We're hiring on behalf of one of the largest specialist direct-hire staffing groups in the United States — a $250M+ global platform with 15 offices worldwide and a strong, growing presence in Charlotte.

This is an opportunity to join an already high-performing private practice desk with 300+ live requisitions and warm client relationships across AmLaw law firms nationally. No cold start. No building a book from zero. Just you, a loaded desk, and the infrastructure to run with it.

The role

You'll be placing Associates and Counsel-level attorneys into AmLaw law firms across the US, focusing on litigation and/or transactions/corporate private practice. The desk is nationally unrestricted — you can support placements anywhere in the country from your Charlotte base.

Level is flexible: Consultant, Principal, or AVP depending on your experience. A 360 background is preferred, though strong 180 candidates with a perm-dominant focus will be considered.

What we're looking for

• Experience in legal recruitment or a transferable background in professional services / financial services recruitment
• A track record of billing and placing in a perm-focused desk.
• Resilience and strong candidate outreach capability
• Charlotte-based or willing to relocate — hybrid working (4 in / 1 remote)
• Driven, collaborative, and commercially minded

Compensation

• Base salary: $55,000–$80,000 (level-dependent, with flexibility for exceptional candidates)
• Lucrative commission structure (no draw) with strong earning potential at pace
