We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Law Firm Intake Specialist/Administrative Assistant to join our legal team. Responsibilities
- Serve as the first point of contact for prospective clients, conducting professional and empathetic phone screenings to gather essential case information across various practice areas.
- Schedule consultations and coordinate appointments with attorneys, ensuring seamless communication between clients and legal staff.
- Maintain accurate and organized client records using our legal case management system.
- Assist with document review, data entry, filing, and general clerical tasks to support daily office operations.
- Conduct preliminary legal research using LexisNexis to assist attorneys in case preparation when necessary.
- Manage incoming calls with professional phone etiquette, directing inquiries appropriately and providing exceptional customer service.
- Support administrative functions such as proofreading legal documents, transcribing notes, managing correspondence, and handling confidential information with discretion.
Skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a busy environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interviewing clients and drafting correspondence.
- Proficiency in legal research tools such as LexisNexis; familiarity with legal document management systems is preferred.
- Experience with legal administrative tasks such as document review, proofreading, transcription, contracts drafting, and procedural law knowledge.
- Familiarity with project management principles to coordinate multiple cases and deadlines efficiently.
- Ability to handle sensitive information discreetly while maintaining professionalism at all times.
- Technical proficiency in data entry and familiarity with Office 365.

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
