Role Description The Business Development Account Manager position is a full-time, on-site role based in Chattanooga, TN. This position is responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, building and maintaining strong relationships with shippers and carriers, and managing key accounts to drive revenue growth. Day-to-day tasks include prospecting and qualifying leads, conducting outreach via phone, email, and in-person meetings, and presenting Shah Logistics to prospective and existing customers. The role also involves negotiating rates and contracts, coordinating with carriers and dispatch teams to ensure service delivery, and monitoring account performance to address service issues and improve satisfaction. The Business Development Account Manager will be expected to provide regular sales and pipeline updates, and contribute to sales strategies.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess skills in New Business Development and Lead Generation, including prospecting, cold calling, and pipeline management.
- Candidates should possess strong Account Management and Customer Service skills to maintain relationships, resolve issues, and retain business.
- Candidates should possess effective Communication skills, including clear written and verbal communication
- Candidates should have familiarity with logistics, trucking, or transportation operations
- Demonstrated ability to meet sales targets, negotiate pricing and terms
- Prior experience in business development, sales, or account management, ideally in logistics
