Facilities Maintenance Technician

Location: Newark, CA (Travel required throughout Bay Area: San Jose, Hayward, Fremont)

Employment Type: Full-Time

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled, hands-on Facilities Maintenance Technician to support operations across a fast-paced computer manufacturing environment spanning up to 11 buildings, including factories and warehouses. This role is critical to maintaining facility uptime, safety, and operational efficiency.

The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, highly reliable, and experienced in maintaining and repairing building systems, with the ability to work independently across multiple sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and installation of:
  • Electrical systems
  • Plumbing systems
  • HVAC systems, including Automated Logic Controls (ALC)
  • Support general construction, facility upgrades, and infrastructure improvements
  • Maintain and repair manufacturing and warehouse equipment
  • Assist with cabling tasks, including pulling and terminating network cables
  • Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively
  • Utilize ladders and scissor lifts to perform overhead work
  • Work with and support:
  • Facilities management software systems
  • Security and surveillance systems
  • Access control systems
  • HVAC control platforms
  • Ensure compliance with all safety standards and regulatory requirements
  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance across multiple sites
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors as needed

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of facilities maintenance or related hands-on experience
  • Strong working knowledge of:
  • Electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems
  • OSHA rules and workplace safety standards
  • Ability to:
  • Lift up to 45 lbs
  • Climb ladders and work at heights
  • Operate scissor lifts and similar equipment
  • Proficiency with hand and power tools
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable personal vehicle (daily travel required between sites)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
  • Must be comfortable using MS Office Excel, Word, PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in manufacturing, server production, or data center environments
  • Familiarity with:
  • Facilities management software
  • Security/surveillance systems
  • Access control systems
  • Cabling experience (network cable pulling and termination)
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards
  • Multilingual skills (Chinese and/or Spanish language proficiency is a plus)

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Work performed in factories, warehouses, and outdoor environments
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting
  • Use of ladders, lifts, and mechanical equipment
  • Travel between multiple Bay Area facilities required

Pay: $25.00 - $32.00 per hour
