Jackson HealthPros is thrilled to welcome an experienced MRI Technologist to support imaging services in Reno, NV. The MRI Technologist will prepare and position patients for MRI procedures, operate MRI scanners to produce diagnostic images, assist radiologists during procedures, and maintain patient safety and image quality. The role requires effective communication with clinical teams and patients across the lifespan in a fast-paced outpatient environment.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (A.R.R.T.) registration with MRI registry required at time of hire.
- MRI advanced level certification, R.T., or R.M.R.I.T. preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical or hospital-based MRI experience. Candidates with five recent years of radiologic experience are preferred.
- AHA BLS certification.
- Demonstrated knowledge of MRI physics, imaging planes, contrast media protocols, and magnetic field safety procedures.
- Ability to operate various MRI scanners and hospital/department computer systems.
- Willingness to float within the organization to meet clinical needs up to competency level.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a high-volume, trauma-designated facility or busy imaging center.
- Prior experience with after-hours standby, callback, or call responsibilities.
Assignment Details
- Weekly guaranteed hours: 36.
- Schedule includes 3x12 shifts with rotating days of the week, primarily weekends, and varied graveyard shifts.
- May be required to work major holidays and pick up one additional shift during the schedule period.
- Call requirements and specific on-call details to be discussed during interview.
- Traveler may be required to float to other locations within the organization as needed.
