Position: Seeking Commercial and Industrial Electricians for Two-Year Project in Alabama

Wallace Electric Company is currently hiring permanent electricians with at least 5+ years experience in the Commercial and/or Industrial sector(s). We are seeking candidates who surround or reside near Montgomery or Birmingham, AL for an estimated Two-Year project. This is not a traveling, contractual position. We are pursuing accomplished, talented, and savvy “Electrician I” and “Electrician II” for both locations.

Location & Duration

Project located near Montgomery or Birmingham, AL, estimated two-year duration. Positions are permanent.

Electrician I

Possible responsibilities and qualifications include:

  • Installs, repairs, and performs maintenance on Commercial and Industrial electrical systems, equipment, and fixtures.
  • Skilled in troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems.
  • Responsible for specialized electrical tasks: wiring, lighting installations, upgrading electrical infrastructure.
  • Experienced in Wire Pulling; knowledgeable of voltage colors and panel numbering.
  • Efficient in Conduit Bending; able to install, bend, and run over 100 feet of conduit per day without assistance.
  • Strong understanding of safety procedures, regulatory codes, blueprints, and technical diagrams.
  • Highly proficient in electrical equipment installation, interpreting drawings, mounting equipment precisely.
  • Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, testing devices, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills, communication skills, methodical and meticulous approach, keen eye for detail, exceptional client service.
  • Physical capability: lifting equipment, operating machinery, standing for extended periods, working in confined spaces, indoors/outdoors in various weather; must lift 50 lbs. minimum.
  • Between 5 to 7 years of practical experience or a combination of practical experience and classroom instruction; may have completed vocational/trade/technical school or an apprenticeship.

Electrician II

Possible responsibilities and qualifications include:

  • Installs and repairs Commercial and Industrial electrical systems; highly skilled with solid work experience in Commercial/Industrial sectors.
  • Interprets blueprints, troubleshooting complex issues, preventative maintenance, and equipment installation.
  • Works independently and may train and supervise helpers; provides leadership.
  • Provides detailed documentation, ensures safety and compliance on the jobsite.
  • Experienced in Wire Pulling; knowledgeable of voltage colors and panel numbering.
  • Efficient in Conduit Bending; install, bend, run over 100 feet of conduit per day.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory codes.
  • Proficient in hand tools, power tools, testing devices, diagnostic equipment.
  • Skilled at crafting material lists for work to be performed.
  • Strong physical capabilities: lifting equipment, operating machinery, standing extended periods, confined spaces, indoors/outdoors in various weather; must lift 50 lbs. minimum.
  • Problem‑solving skills, effective communication, keen eye for details, client service, leadership of team of electricians.
  • 7+ years of practical experience or combination of practical experience and classroom instruction; may have completed vocational/trade/technical school or apprenticeship.
  • Electrical License Holder (Class II) is a plus, not a requirement.
