About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled and reliable Machine Operator to join their advanced precision machining facility in Omaha, Nebraska . This role is crucial for operating and maintaining CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines to produce high-quality parts according to specifications. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of CNC machining principles, be proficient in setting up and operating machinery, and possess a keen eye for detail to ensure product quality. Key Responsibilities Set up, operate, and maintain CNC machines (e.g., Mills, Lathes) to produce precision parts. Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications to determine machining operations. Select appropriate tools, materials, and equipment for the job. Perform in-process quality checks using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers) to ensure parts meet specifications. Monitor machine performance and make adjustments as needed to maintain optimal operation. Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of CNC machinery. Identify and troubleshoot machine malfunctions and production issues. Adhere strictly to all safety regulations, company policies, and operating procedures. Maintain accurate production records and report any issues to supervisors. Contribute to a safe and efficient work environment through active participation in team efforts. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in CNC machining or a related field is a strong asset. Proven experience as a CNC Machine Operator or similar role in a manufacturing environment. Proficiency in setting up and operating CNC Mills and/or Lathes. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Experience with precision measuring tools and quality inspection techniques. Understanding of G-code and M-code programming is beneficial. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Good problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
