Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive QA/QC Engineer to oversee inbound product quality, manage inspection standards, and drive defect countermeasure initiatives. In this role, you will be the central pivot point between on-site resident staff, customers, and internal engineering/sales teams to maintain top-tier product reliability. You will also oversee standard operating procedures (SOPs) for BMS (Battery Management System) charging operations and manage technical documentation.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Inline Defect & Inbound Product Quality Management
- Receive daily quality status reports from on-site resident staff and distribute them to relevant teams.
- Verify inbound sampling inspection results and distribute them to relevant teams.
Inspection Standards & Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) Creation and Management
- Manage inbound product master samples; establish and revise inbound inspection standards.
- Create and manage Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to BMS charging management.
Long-Term Inventory Management
- Coordinate with the Sales Team to review and confirm the usability of products held in long-term inventory for 3 months or more.
- Consult with the Development Team to verify if engineering design changes or corrective actions are feasible, then forward findings to the Sales Team.
Defect Response Actions
- Upon customer inline defects, identify the root cause, sort inventory, and isolate defective parts.
- Upon inbound product defects, notify relevant teams, initiate corrective actions, and isolate defective parts.
- Aggregate data on recurring defect items, analyze causes, and request improvements from relevant teams (including weekly/monthly reporting on inline and inbound defect status).
- Handle defective LV_BMS products (waste disposal management).
Customer Inbound Defect Countermeasure Formulation & Response
- Identify causes when customer inbound defects occur, and request/receive improvement countermeasures from relevant teams.
- Monitor inbound defects within the GQMS system; request and support the creation of 8D Reports.
- File formal objections/appeals when customer inbound defects are registered.
- Manage and file defect claims.
Customer Weekly Quality Meeting Coordination
- Receive meeting agendas and prepare documentation for daily, weekly, and monthly customer quality meetings.
- Attend quality meetings and distribute minutes, emails, and customer requirements to relevant internal teams.
Initial Production Parts & 4M Change Management
- Prepare Initial Sample Inspection Reports (ISIR) and collect data from relevant teams when new items are introduced or 4M changes occur.
- Register and submit approval documentation within the customer’s GQMS portal.
LV_BMS Charging Operations & Environmental Management
- Monitor temperature and humidity controls in the BMS charging room, taking corrective action if abnormalities arise.
- Review daily inspection results of charging equipment, taking corrective action if abnormalities arise.
- Perform routine daily checks to verify LV_BMS charging operations.
Personnel & Performance Management
- Manage attendance, time tracking, and work performance for inline resident staff and inspectors.
Job Requirements & Preferences
- Driver's License: Required.
- MS Office: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is preferred.
Pay: $26.00 - $32.00 per hour
