Your Contribution

As an Experienced Maintenance Technician at Invitation Homes, your role is to deliver high-quality maintenance services in our single-family rental homes while ensuring a superior customer experience for our residents. Your responsibilities will entail:

• Completing maintenance service requests across a variety of trades
• Delivering extraordinary customer service to foster a quality living experience for residents
• Carrying out work respectfully within residents' homes
• Conducting regular ProCare visits to identify proactive maintenance and repairs
• Utilizing the mobile app to complete checklists for each visit
• Scheduling subsequent ProCare Maintenance Visits with residents via the app
• Informing residents about maintenance responsibilities and expectations
• Educating residents on the functional systems within their homes
• Assessing property conditions during visits and informing property management of urgent issues
• Using Technician-specific reports to identify areas for improvement
• Performing repairs in vacant properties awaiting leasing or during the turnover process
• Properly maintaining company-provided tools, materials, and vehicles
• Preparing for next-day appointments to ensure adequate materials and information for efficient work
• Adhering to all safety protocols established by Invitation Homes
• Assisting with additional duties as assigned

Your Experience

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 2-5+ years of proven experience in residential maintenance or related fields
• OSHA 10 certification is required (new hires must complete this within 90 days of hire)
• Preferred certifications include:
• EPA Certification: Type I, Type II, and/or EPA Universal
• HVAC Certification
• Pool Operation certification (CPO)
• Exceptional customer service skills and strong verbal and written communication abilities; bilingual skills are a plus
• Comfortable using mobile devices and applications for work
• Understanding of residential construction and mechanical systems with the ability to perform general repairs in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC (basic), and appliances; training provided as necessary
• Must hold a valid driver’s license and maintain automobile insurance, as well as any required state certifications
• Ability to work consistently, including on occasion weekends and holidays
• Must be equipped with basic hand and power tools
• Physical ability to perform tasks requiring frequent bending, reaching, lifting, and moving items over 50 pounds

Salary Range

The salary range for this position is: $20.19 - $35.00, and individuals may qualify for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation will depend on skills, experience, qualifications, location, and applicable employment laws.
