Job Summary of Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant:

This position entails administering therapy treatments while being overseen by an Occupational Therapist, assisting in the implementation of personalized treatment strategies, and working together with a diverse group of professionals to enhance self-sufficiency and enhance the well-being of patients. Job Duties and Responsibilities of Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant:

Qualifications and Experience of Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant:

  • Completion of a recognized Occupational Therapy Assistant program accredited by the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) leading to an Associate’s degree.
  • The state may mandate certification by the NBCOT for COTAs.
  • Possession of a valid state certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant.
  • Effective abilities in organization and communication.
