Maria Isabel is hiring Servers

Maria Isabel opened on March 3rd , so we are still new and continuing to build the team as we grow.

In the short time since opening, we have been grateful to be Michelin Recommended , recognized with Michelin’s Exceptional Cocktail Program Award , and called “S.s most ambitious Mexican restaurant in years unlike anything else in the Bay Area” by the San Francisco Chronicle .

We are looking for people who want to grow with us, help shape the culture, and take pride in building something special from the beginning.

We are looking for experienced servers who are warm, professional, and genuinely care about hospitality. Our restaurant is rooted in Mexican tradition, Northern California ingredients, thoughtful beverage, and taking great care of our guests.

The restaurant is busy, and the earning potential is strong. Servers are currently averaging $300+ a night in tips .

Experienced in full service or fine dining restaurants

Excited about food, wine, cocktails, and Mexican culture

Essential Duties & Responsibilities For Servers

Provide warm, attentive, and thoughtful service that reflects the style of Maria Isabel

Guide guests through the menu with confidence, care, and genuine hospitality

Offer informed food, wine, cocktail, and beverage recommendations

Maintain strong knowledge of our menu, ingredients, preparations, and beverage program

Support a polished but welcoming dining experience in a busy restaurant

Manage multiple tables while staying organized, calm, and present with guests

Communicate clearly and respectfully with guests, managers, and team members

Support team service and contribute to a positive, respectful workplace culture

Previous serving experience required

Fine dining or high-end restaurant experience preferred

Curious and excited to learn about Mexican cuisine, ingredients, wine, cocktails, and hospitality

A genuine passion for food, beverage, and taking great care of people

California Food Handler Certification, or ability to obtain within the required time frame

Stand and walk for 6 to 7 hours per shift

Ability to focus and multitask in a fast-paced dining room

Comfortable working in a busy restaurant with changing noise, lighting, and temperature levels

Navigate stairs, slick surfaces, and kitchen areas safely

Flexible availability required, including nights, weekends, and holidays based on business needs

Dinner service only, Tuesday through Saturday

Strong earning potential, with servers currently averaging $300+ a night in tips
