We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Dispatcher for Heavy Haul Load Bookings to join our logistics team. Duties

• Coordinate and schedule heavy haul freight shipments using transportation management systems such as Oracle Transportation Management and SyteLine.
• Manage multi-line phone systems to communicate effectively with drivers, carriers, clients, and internal teams.
• Utilize GPS and GIS tools for route planning, tracking, and analysis to optimize delivery schedules and improve operational efficiency.
• Enter data accurately into transportation management systems, including AS400 and other logistics platforms, ensuring all shipment details are current and precise.
• Oversee shipping & receiving processes, including freight documentation, load booking, and freight tracking updates.
• Monitor fleet management systems to assign loads appropriately and track vehicle locations in real-time.
• Maintain organized records of dispatch activities, shipment statuses, incident reports, and client communications.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of GIS (Geographic Information Systems), GPS technology, and transportation planning tools.
• Proficiency in transportation management systems like Oracle Transportation Management, SyteLine, and AS400.
• Excellent communication skills with phone call management expertise and professional phone etiquette.
• Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Analysis skills to interpret data related to freight movements, route optimization, and supply chain performance metrics.
• Experience with logistics operations including 3PL (Third-Party Logistics), shipping & receiving procedures, and fleet management.
• Typing proficiency for quick data entry and documentation accuracy in systems such as Oracle TMS or SyteLine.
