CNC Mill & Lathe Operators – Manufacturing Production

This position is responsible for operating CNC machines, following work instructions, checking parts, and maintaining production quality. Candidates should have experience working with CNC mills, CNC lathes, or similar machining equipment.

The right candidate must be dependable, safety-minded, able to follow instructions, and comfortable working in a shop environment where accuracy and consistency matter.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate CNC mills, CNC lathes, or machining centers.
• Load and unload parts safely and correctly.
• Follow setup sheets, work orders, drawings, and supervisor instructions.
• Monitor machines during production runs.
• Check parts using basic measuring tools.
• Identify issues with parts, tooling, machine operation, or quality.
• Make basic offsets or adjustments if qualified.
• Keep parts organized and production moving.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Follow all safety, quality, and shop procedures.

Requirements

• Previous CNC machine operation experience.
• Experience with CNC mills, CNC lathes, or machining centers.
• Ability to read basic blueprints, drawings, or work instructions.
• Ability to use calipers, micrometers, gauges, or basic inspection tools.
• Ability to follow production and safety procedures.
• Must be dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented.
• Must be able to stand, bend, lift, and work in a manufacturing environment.

Preferred Experience

• Ability to make offsets or minor machine adjustments.
• Experience with Mazak, Doosan and Brothers controls.
• Experience with first-piece and in-process inspection.
• Experience with production machining, precision parts, or metal manufacturing.
• Setup experience preferred but not required.
• Blueprint and GD&T knowledge is a plus.

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
